“You’ve arrived.”
a ragged voice greets you.

You feel your hands shake and eyes grow wide, a familiar ice cold dread sends shivers through your spine, your feet frozen in fear.

Before you can make a feeble attempt at escape the monster snaps its head up and tears its chains from their mounts on the wall. It whips them forward wrapping them around your neck with such force it knocks the wind from you. You immediately grab onto the chain, struggling to breathe as the creature drags you towards it by your neck.
It grabs you by your face, your skull small in comparison to its massive hands.

“See you soon.”
It whispers.
You then hear a crunch as your skull is crushed beneath their palm.

You cautiously look up from where you stand to see you are no longer in the office the filing cabinet was in. As a matter of fact when you look to your hands the cabinet is gone all together.

Several yards infront of you at the end of this hallway(?) you see an inhuman-like corpse chained up on the wall like a crucifix. Its body lay disgusting, thin and twisted, only softly lit by a dim flickering lightbulb.

wow this thing is… disgusting, to say the least. But it’s time to start asking the real questions.
“Who- who said that?”
You whisper into the dark hallway, part of you hoping no one heard because you really didn’t want to meet the person that voice belonged to.

“Hello child. this isn’t a place you belong, now is it?”
suddenly the corpse’s head was upright, its jaw moving- it- it was speaking to you.

this creature was frightening sure, but you felt pity for it. Who knows how long it had been down here before it died, chained up, starving…
What about that voice? Was I imagining it?

“Who- who said that?”
You whisper into the dark hallway, part of you hoping no one heard because you really didn’t want to meet the person that voice belonged to.

“Hello child. this isn’t a place you belong, now is it?”
suddenly the corpse’s head was upright, its jaw moving- it- it was speaking to you.

your heart dropped to your stomach. It’s speaking.
“What… what are you?”
You whispered, eyes wide with horror.

“Alive.” It whispered back.

It tilted its head further up as if to look at you. it’s long thin white hair falling back to reveal two black pits where its eyes should be.

“Come closer.”
it rasped.

Too afraid to deny its request, you cautiously approach. After the first few steps the floor seemed to warp beneath you, the hallway rapidly shortening and bringing you mere feet from the monster that hung from the wall.

You watch in horror as the creature starts tugging on its bonds, effortlessly tearing the shackles from the walls.

naturally you broke into a run in the opposite direction. You didn’t care if you were met by a dead end, any direction is better than the monster’s direction. To your misfortune the very floor began to warp beneath you, the hallway rapidly shortening and bringing you mere feet from what you tried to run from.

You watch in horror as the creature starts tugging on its bonds, effortlessly tearing the shackles from the walls.

your heart is now beating so fast you feel you might die. The monster now stands before you, free. It straightens its back (to the best of its ability) bringing itself up to it full height. Now that you’re closer the realization it hits you like a freight train, this creature is staggeringly taller than any human could ever be.

It leans down, dark eyes seeing into your soul.“Free me.”
It commands.

“But- but aren’t you already free? You broke your own chains.”
You stutter, not sure what else to do.
“Free me.”
It repeats. It stepped closer, blank eyes wide and violent.

“I- I- I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!”“FREE ME.”
it persisted.

you feel your natural sense of justice take over.
“Never.”
you declare, narrowing your eyes at the monster.

“FREE ME.”
it persisted

Upon hearing your response the monster swings its arms back and whipped forward the chains still attached to its cuffs.
The chain flew forward and wrapped around your neck with so much force it knocked the wind from you. You immediately grab onto the chain, struggling to breathe as the creature dragged you towards it by your neck.
It grabbed you by your face, your skull small in comparison to its massive hands.

“See you soon.”
It whispered.
You then heard a crunch as your skull was crushed beneath their palm.
